Large or unusual B2B orders often need a negotiated price. Without an online quote flow, buyers email a list, a rep retypes it, and the approved quote is retyped again as an order. AwaCommerce Next turns that into a few clicks, with the Advanced B2B pack.
How online quotes work
- The buyer builds a cart using their customer-specific prices, CSV order import, or multi-add.
- They request a quote instead of checking out. Optionally, the whole cart converts into a quote request.
- Your team reviews it and responds with pricing.
- The buyer accepts and converts the quote into an order. Prices, items, and quantities carry over, so nothing is retyped.
- The sales order is created in NetSuite, after checkout validates price, stock, tax, and shipping.
Buyers can see their quotes and their status in the account area, and quote emails keep both sides informed.
Why it matters
- Faster turnaround: buyers do not wait for someone to retype a list.
- Fewer errors: the items and quantities on the order are exactly what the buyer requested.
- More self-service: buyers who used to email or call place orders online.
- Better visibility: quotes live alongside orders and invoices in one account.
Works with the rest of B2B
Quotes are part of Advanced B2B, which also includes:

- Registration approval, tax exemption, and restricted address creation
See everything in one place on the NetSuite B2B portal page.
Replacing custom SCA quote code
Many SuiteCommerce Advanced sites have custom-built quote features that make upgrades harder. On AwaCommerce Next, quotes are a standard feature you switch on, maintained with the platform. See SuiteCommerce migration.
